Some thoughts: (warning for thirty-year-old spoilers)

-Rachel Summers. Rachel Summers. She was already my favorite and then she controlled the Phoenix Force to atone for the people the Summers women had killed. BAMF.

-Hey, it’s Claremont, which means we actually get really in-depth character explorations of the women! Yaaaay!

-….do Kurt and Piotr really have to throw in Russian and German words every single sentence?

-annnnd Scott marries Jean’s clone. *sigh* Poor Madelyne.

-Okay, Mystique darling, I love you, but attacking Erik at a reception for Holocaust survivors? Waaaaay beyond tacky.

-I would so buy a spinoff just starring Rachel and Erik and Kitty. And also a spinoff starring Storm and Charles just being stylish and awesome buddies.

-Hey, remember the days when the X-Men tried not to kill people? That was great.
